Elixent provides semiconductor intellectual property (IP) cores, tools and design services. Its patented embedded reconfigurable arithmetic logic unit (ALU) array allows for the easy incorporation of new or modified algorithims to be achieved by reprogramming the connections and the computational functionality of the ALU array after silicon has been fabricated. A single chip can then be used to provide different features to a range of products, or upgrade the functionality of a single product, without the need for designing a new ASIC.
