Thank you for your patience on this request. I apologize for the delay. Intel PCI chipsets do not have the capability of
initiating burst read cycles to read data from other PCI devices.
When the 440BX acts as the initiator, the 440BX will only support Memory Read (MR) and Memory Read Line (MRL). Memory Read
Multiple (MRM) is not supported by the 440BX as an initiator.
Therefore the 440BX only supports Burst Writes as an initiator and Burst Reads and Writes as a target. I hope this helps.
