There is not any os in my pc, only an asm code already running.
(it is an embedded industrial pc)
Now I need to send out a byte on usb port.
I need to do the minimum sequence of operations to obtain this.
If windows can, i can too.
At least, also windows is machine code.

Ok Maybe i don't understand or maybe i did not explain well
I don't need to drive an usb device.
I don't need to implement the usb protocol or format.
I only need to see some logical zeros or ones on that connector
usually used for usb which is present on my pc board.
Do you confirm this is impossible?

Ok Ron.
I know how to design a medical device.
What you call a hokey method i call it a smart way to avoid
unuseful costs. (if it is possible, of course)
But we are back at the beginning.
If i resign myself to develop a full- blown usb device it seems i must to use windows. And i can't. Any ideas?

Right Andreas, sorry Jan, i did not reply to you.
I can't explain all the story.
As all you surely know, when you work on a project
there are not only technical problems.
This project was started by another developer (She works in another company now.)
So it is already industialized with many expenses.
More, the company has in its store 1000 pcs of the chosen pc104 board.
Now my company thinks the project is not good so and
asked me to add a function.
to do this i can't change all the project.
So i was hoping to find a way using usb connector wich is free.
I understand you are trying to help me, but believe me
I'm a senior developer and i know what i do.
My only way was usb.
Now i'm reading the specs i will find a way but loosing a lot of time.
I try with another question.
Drivers for usb are good with any controller ( there are generic windows drivers) or any controller placed on a motherboard needs its own driver?
