The H8/3672 Series has been developed for smaller, cost sensitive applications which don't require all of the functions of the H8/3664.

The H8/3672 Series has 16 kbytes and 8 kbytes of on-chip single supply flash memory (3 to 5V operation), and peripheral functions such as powerful timers, an asynchronous/synchronous interface, a 10-bit A/D converter and CMOS high current I/O ports.

H8/3672 Series is available in the same low cost LQFP as the H8/3664 Series and has a subset of the functions available on the H8/3664. The H8/3672 Series is also downwardly pin compatible with the H8/3664. There are two different versions, the H8/3672 with on chip 16 kbytes of flash memory, and the H8/3670F with on chip 8 kbytes of flash memory.

The H8/3672 Series supports the same debugging interface as the H8/3664 and so the same debugging tools, including the E10T debugger can be used to develop applications.
