Ответ: Интерфейс АРС смартов. Есть и софт, Powerchute называется. Серия RT вообще разговаривает по компотру по английски, можно через терминал.

7.0 Computer Interface Port Description:

The Smart - Ups 2200/3000 have a communications port which may be connected to a host computer system using a special optional interface kit. This port allows the computer to monitor the status of the UPS and in some cases control the operation of the UPS. The UPS has two modes of communication. In the "standard" signaling mode, the UPS provides or accepts simple level transitions. In the "smart" signaling mode, the UPS is capable of ASCII RS-232 communications according to the UPS-Link Control Language. Below is a detailed description of the serial port's pins:

* Pin 1 - Shutdown Input - The UPS will shut down following a 20 second delay when +5 Vdc or a HI RS-232 level, sustained for 4.5 seconds, is applied to pin 1. The UPS will respond to the signal only when operating on-battery. In the "smart" signaling mode this pin is the receive data input line. If the UPS is shut down via this utility, the UPS will turn on when the voltage is restored to within normal limits.

* Pin 2 - Transfer To On Battery Signal Output - The UPS will generate a LO to HI RS-232 level transition upon transfer from on-line to on-battery operation (utility failure). The pin is normally at a LO RS-232 level. In the "smart" signaling mode, this pin is the transmit data output line.

* Pin 3 - Normally Open On Battery Signal - This pin is the open collector of a transistor which turns on when the UPS transfer from on-line to on-battery operation (utility failure). The transistor is capable of driving ground reference TTL inputs or loads up to 50 ma at 40 Vdc, non-inductive. If used to drive relays, the relay coil must be clamped with a "catch" diode.

* Pin 4/9 - are connected directly to chassis ground.

* Pin 5 - Normally Open Low Battery Signal - This pin is the open collector of a transistor which turns on when the UPS detects a low battery condition. The transistor is capable of driving ground referenced TTL inputs or loads up to 50 ma at 40 Vdc, non-inductive. If used to drive relays, the relay coil must be clamped with a "catch" diode.

* Pin 6 - Normally Closed On Battery Signal - This pin is the open collector of a transistor which turns off when the UPS transfer from on-line to on-battery operation (utility failure). The transistor is capable of driving ground reference TTL inputs or loads of up to 50 ma at 40 Vdc, non-inductive. If used to drive relays the relay coil must be clamped with a "catch" diode.

* Pin 7 - Remote Turn On/Off - The UPS will on and all loads connected at its output will become powered when a HI RS-232 level, sustained for 1 second, is applied to pin 7. This is true only when the UPS enable switch is in the 1 position. When pin 7 is grounded for 1 second, the UPS will shut down and all connected loads will be turned off.

* Pin 8 - Unregulated +24 Vdc (+18 Vdc for the) - When the UPS enable switch is in the 1 position an unregulated +24 Vdc (+18 Vdc for the) connected in series with a limiting resistor appears at pin 8. A maximum of 40 mAdc may be source from this output.

8.0 Troubleshooting Procedure:
This section outlines the most common problems that may be encountered with a UPS. The format of this section is as follows:
I. Symptom - a brief description of the problem or problems encountered.
II. Probable Cause - the possible reasons that may have caused the recorded symptom to occur. All of the probable causes should be verified by a trained service technician. Each solution number corresponds to the respective probable cause number.
III. Solution - the recommended solutions to each of the probable causes. Refer to sections 5, 6 and 7 for parts replacement procedures.

There is also a troubleshooting chart in the UPS owner's manual. This chart may also be useful in solving some problems.

Symptom Probable Cause Solution
1. UPS turns on, but stays on battery. Input wave form distorted Exchange the UPS.
Defective PCB. Replace the PCB.
Voltage from the wall may be out of range. Check the wall voltage.
2. UPS frequently goes to battery (more than once an hour). Chronically low or high AC line voltage.Poor or distorted line voltage caused by heavy loading on underrated wiring Check the line voltage and adjust it if needed.
3. UPS will not turn on. Failed external fuse/circuit breaker. Replace the external fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
Poor connection of the power cord. Make sure the cord is firmly connected on both ends.
Dead wall outlet. Test the wall outlet for proper voltage.
Very low incoming line voltage. Test the line voltage for proper voltage.
Failed inverter / dead batteries. Replace PCB and/or batteries.
4. Circuit breaker continuously trips. The UPS is overloaded. Reduce the load.
UPSs surge suppression circuit failed. Replace the PCB.
The incorrect fuse was put into the UPS. Confirm which fuse should be in the UPS.
5. UPS does not provide the expected backup time. Batteries are not fully charged. Recharge the batteries for 8 hours and then retest.
The batteries are weak or damaged. Replace the batteries.
6. Smoke and/or burning smell emitted from the unit. The surge suppression circuit may have failed. Replace the PCB.
A 110 VAC unit plugged into 220 VAC. Replace the 110 VAC unit with a 220 VAC unit.
The power inverter circuit may have failed. Replace the PCB.
