За это чипкон теперь маркирует свои CC2420 как EM2420 и отдает их эмберу :-)
А микрочиповский стек совместим со спецификацией zigbee alliance 1.0, хотя и не поддерживает часть функций:

• Supports Chipcon CC2420 and UBEC UZ2400 2.4GHz RF transceivers

• Implements RFD and FFD devices, supporting ZigBee Coordinators, ZigBee Routers and
End Devices
• Default support for non-volatile neighbor and binding tables
• Supports up to 254 child devices per FFD in a network
• Supports up to 254 binding entries per network or per node
• Supports the Home Control, Lighting Profile
Version 1.0-3.2 of the Microchip Stack contains the following limitations. Please note that
Microchip is planning to add new features as time progresses.
• No security or access control capabilities
• No support for Complex and User Descriptors
• Limited binding support for non-star networks. See Known Issues for more details.
• Only one broadcast packet can be buffered
• Only one data packet received for routing to another device can be buffered while
awaiting route discovery
• ZigBee Coordinators and Routers cannot automatically initiate Route Discovery for data
packets sent from the application layer. The application must perform Route Discovery
manually.
• ZigBee Coordinators and Routers cannot automatically initiate Route Repair.
• No support for HI-TECH PICC Compiler
